Lars Arvidson

Lars Arvidson received his vocal and theatrical training at Stockholm’s Royal College of Music and at the University College of Opera in Stockholm. His sonorous bass-baritone voice and versatile stage presence have been witnessed in a great variety of roles ranging from the early Baroque to contemporary opera.
Lars Arvidson is a frequent guest artist at all Sweden’s opera houses, most notably the Stockholm Royal Opera, Drottningholm Court Theater, Norrlandsoperan and Malmö Opera. He has also been engaged by Het Musikteater and Holland Festival. He made his debut at Paris' Opéra Comique in 2009 in Pierre Audi's production of Rameau's Zoroastre.
An accomplished concert and oratorio singer, Lars Arvidson has performed as a soloist under conductors such as Ivor Bolton, Alan Gilbert, Esa-Pekka Salonen, Manfred Honeck, Christopher Hogwood, Christophe Rousset, Andrew Manze and Tönu Kaljuste.
