Erika Landertinger

Erika Landertinger studied stage design and direction at the Salzburg Mozarteum. Having held positions as costume designer in Bonn, Bochum and the Netherlands she went freelance in 1983 and has meanwhile designed costumes for more than 200 theatre productions. Her costumes have featured on the stages of all the major houses of Germany – in Munich, Stuttgart, Berlin, Hamburg and Cologne, for example – and likewise on stages in Rotterdam, Zurich and Vienna.
Individual exhibitions dedicated to Erika Landertinger’s work have taken place in Cologne, Stuttgart and Salzburg.  A guest lecturer for costume design in Amsterdam during the period 1995–1996, today Erika Landertinger lectures at the Kunstakademie Maastricht, an activity she has been carrying out since 2003.
