Prizewinners’ Concert

Since 2017, as part of the göttingen händel competition, the Festival has honoured and supported young ensembles that not only preserve the tradition of early music but continually develop and reinvent it through musical expertise and creative impetus. Once again, ensembles from around the world with a focus on Baroque music and historical performance practice were invited to apply with inventive concert programs that resonate with this year’s Festival theme, “Enticement”. A particularly enticing performance will be rewarded with the first prize, awarded by the Göttinger Händel-Gesellschaft, as well as a Prizewinners’ Concert in Göttingen’s St. Albani Church.
