Sing Along Service

Tradition and new beginnings are inimitably reflected in the Tageblatt Choir: for many years now, the Sing Along Service has been an integral part of the Göttingen International Handel Festival, and yet the choir re-forms every year. This year is no exception, with more than 100 Göttingen singers applying to perform excerpts from the Festival opera Semele together at the service under the direction of George Petrou. Enthusiastic amateurs mingle with professionals, as do young and old: the Youth Orchestra of Göttingen will follow in the footsteps of the FestspielOrchester, offering the audience an initial glimpse of the Festival, which begins only a few weeks later.
