Organist Stefan Kordes announces a “kaleidoscope of French organ music” and Pièces de fantaisie (Louis Vierne) for his program of organ music on the occasion of the Handel Festival in St. Jacobi Church.

It is perhaps no coincidence that Kordes plays as cantor for St. James (Jakobus), the patron saint of pilgrims: Kordes studied in Hamburg, Stuttgart and Vienna, won several international organ competitions, and concert tours have taken him to numerous countries in Europe, to St. Petersburg and Siberia, Asia and South America. He brings the many impressions back with him to Göttingen and compiles them into a beautiful, brilliant whole: Pièces de fantaisie.

Works by Louis Vierne, Marcel Dupré, Olivier Messiaen, Maurice Duruflé

Organizer: Ev.-luth. Kirchengemeinde St. Jacobi
