eeemerging: Concerto di Margherita

Works from Kapsberger, Caccini, Monteverdi, de Wert

Embark on a journey. With vocal and instrumental works from the late 16th and early 17th centuries, retrace the “footsteps of the lover born in innocence, dazzled by love, deceived and lost in darkness, to ultimately find solace in oblivion”. The ensemble Concerto di Margherita breathes new life into the venerable practice of self-accompanied singing. In this concert, five voices and five instruments create an aural tapestry of unique splendour.

The concert venue is not barrier-free. For further information on Festival venue accessibility please see the overview.
