Giovanni Antonini / Ottavio Dantone
Giovanni Antonini and Ottavio Dantone – each of them a star on the early music scene in their own right. Together they create a frame of works by Bach and Handel, in which Falconieri, Castello, Corelli, van Eyck and Mancini feature as well. The 2017 ECHO Classic prize, no less, is testament to Antonini’s virtuoso playing, which is set to delight us through a wide-ranging programme on this morning. La Suave Melodia starts the concert, with Bach’s Sonata in G minor bringing it to a close.
