festival operas at the cinema
Admeto (HWV 22)
Since 2009, the Göttingen International Handel Festival has been recording its festival operas and presenting them as “Public Viewing” during the respective festival period. Experience four of these opera productions with and without a happy end in the art house cinemas Lumière and Méliès.
Doris Dörrie surprised in 2009 in her Admeto production with a reduced stage design with brightly coloured lighting and extraordinary Butoh dance by Tadashi Endo. Experience this celebrated production once again on a large screen and let memories come alive.
