In the course of refurbishment and extension work, the Neu-Mariahilf chapel came into being directly adjoining the hospital building in the central courtyard on Humboldtallee. Since its inauguration in August 2017 by Protestant Bishop Ralf Meister, the building extension in the form of a half-moon serves as a ‘space for meditation, culture and quietness’ and is open to all. The interior is designed in a modern, unfussy style. Thanks to the seven windows extending down to floor level, the chapel interior is rich in natural light. The windows originate from a former Catholic chapel and show biblical scenes and accounts, such as the twelve-year-old Jesus in the temple.

The hospital has a parking area for visitors and an underground carpark. Access to this is via Waldweg 9; the entrance lies between the medical centre and the Maxineum (red building), exactly opposite the Leonard-Nelson-Straße.
