Come with us on a journey to the beginnings of the Handel Festival: almost 100 years after the premiere of Oskar Hagen’s arrangement of Rodelinda, the concert ‘Rodelinde_1920’ takes us back to the 1920s.
Experience Christina Gansch as Rodelinde and Tobias Berndt as Bertarich with arias from Hagen’s version. Listen to an original aria by Rodelinda as a comparison, and the (in 1920) contemporary Pulcinella Suite by Igor Stravinsky. Conducted by Piero Lombardi, the Akademische Orchestervereinigung – which also performed in 1920 – will be enlarged by members of the Göttinger Symphonie Orchester.
The venue is barrier-free. For further information on Festival venue accessibility. Please see the overview.
