Ana Maria Labin

Romanian-born soprano Ana Maria Labin has garnered international acclaim for her radiant voice and captivating stage presence, particularly in the repertoire of Baroque and Classical opera.

She made a distinguished debut as Valencienne in Franz Lehár’s Die lustige Witwe (The Merry Widow) at two of Europe’s most prestigious opera houses: La Scala in Milan and the Opéra Garnier in Paris, under the baton of conductor Asher Fisch. This early success marked the beginning of a flourishing international career.

Celebrated for her interpretations of Mozart and Handel, Labin has since established herself as a sought-after interpreter of Baroque and Classical repertoire. Her refined vocal artistry has led to collaborations with some of the world’s leading early music ensembles and conductors.

Recent highlights include Handel's Ariodante on tour with the renowned ensemble Les Arts Florissants, and Vivaldi’s Orlando furioso with Jean-Christophe Spinosi. She has also performed Vivaldi’s L’Olimpiade at both the Opéra de Nice and the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées in Paris.

Labin’s Mozartian credentials are equally strong. She appeared in Le nozze di Figaro at the Gärtnerplatztheater in Munich, and portrayed roles in Mitridate, re di Ponto at the Staatsoper Berlin and Così fan tutte at the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées.

Her passion for sacred music and oratorio has brought her to leading stages as well. She sang Handel’s La Resurrezione in Aix-en-Provence and Hamburg with Les Musiciens du Louvre, and performed Bach’s Mass in C minor at the prestigious Salzburg Festival.

Additional notable engagements include Handel’s Alcina in Beaune, Bizet’s Carmen at the Gärtnerplatztheater, and Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony at Teatro La Fenice in Venice.
