Martin Tschoepe - Viola da Gamba

Martin Tschoepe studied double bass and electric bass with a focus on jazz and popular music in Hanover and Würzburg. Over the course of his career, he has played in bands spanning a wide range of styles—from rock, folk, and klezmer to classical and jazz. He is also active as a composer for his own ensembles as well as for others. Since 2018, he has been developing his own jazz playing style for the viola da gamba. His current projects include Trio 4.0, Carlsong, Swing Club Cats, the Dowland Project, Two Worlds, and a solo jazz viola da gamba program.
