Rainer Winch - Drums

Rainer Winch comes from Garbsen/Havelse near Hanover and studied jazz drums at the Berlin University of the Arts with Prof. Jerry Granelli, as well as at the Banff Centre for the Arts in Canada. Since the 1990s, he has been active with projects such as Jazz Indeed, Yakou Tribe, and the Julia Hülsmann Trio.

He has performed numerous concerts across Europe, Asia, and the United States, including appearances with the Goethe-Institut. As a sideman, he has worked with Wolfgang Muthspiel, Lee Konitz, and Dave Liebman, and has also performed with the Moka Efti Orchestra. In the pop field, he has played with Jazzanova, Volker Meitz, and Clara Hill.
