Ulli Orth - Saxophones, Flute, Clarinet

For years, he has moved confidently between traditional and modern jazz styles. He has gained experience in ensembles ranging from duos to big bands and is a sought-after soloist as well as a lead alto saxophonist. As a composer, he writes big band pieces, works that bridge jazz and chamber music, and a concerto for saxophone and symphony orchestra.

He has performed at international festivals, received Jazzpodium awards and scholarships from the state of Lower Saxony, and has frequently served as artistic director of the JazzArt Niedersachsen concert series. He has also performed with Roger Cicero and the Lutz Krajenski Big Band. In addition, he teaches saxophone.
