Yara-Ensemble

The Yara-Ensemble was founded in 2021 with the aim of bringing music to life within the context of its time. To this end, the ensemble performs on historical instruments and has received training in historical performance practice from, among others, Prof. Mayumi Hirasaki, Prof. Kristin von der Goltz, Prof. Reinhard Goebel, and Prof. Dr. Vincent Bernhardt. In addition to playing with the Yara-Ensemble, our members also perform with groups such as the Freiburger Barockorchester and the Gaechinger Cantorey.

The ensemble performs internationally with a variety of historical repertoire and has appeared, among others, at the Göttingen International Handel Festival, the FEL!X Festival of the Cologne Philharmonie, the Festival of Young Artists Bayreuth, and the Vielklang Festival Tübingen.

The Yara-Ensemble is a recipient of the special prize “Music and Space” of the göttingen händel competition 2025.
