göttingen händel competition
Preliminary round
This event is all about young talents and creative concert formats – About rediscovering early music combined with powerful emotion and the thrill of competition. Now in its ninth year, the göttingen händel competition once again invites young musicians from across Europe to entice and delight the jury – and of course you, the audience. Last year, the French ensemble La Mandorle won both the main prize and the audience award. The special prize “Music and Space” went to the German-Austrian Yara-Ensemble. You will have the chance to hear both ensembles again at this year’s Festival. One thing is already certain for the 2026 competition: it’s going to be exciting!
